CheckYourMeds (CYM) je web platforma koja će služiti korisniku kao informativna web stranica, ali i zdravstveno pomagalo. Platforma će sadržavati potpunu bazu podataka lijekova dostupnih u Republici Hrvatskoj, temeljem čega će se moći provjeriti sve informacije o određenom lijeku. Platforma će, također, sadržavati informacije o nuspojavama lijekova te će korisnik imati mogućnost prijaviti
nuspojavu, ukoliko se dogodi, nakon konzumacije određenog lijeka.
Uz nuspojave, korisnik će moći istražiti interakcije između lijekova i drugih pripravaka na način da usporedi lijekove i pripravke koje trenutno uzima kako bi mogao imati bolji uvid u potencijalni problem uzimanja kombinacije istih.
Dio gdje platforma postaje personalizirana za korisnika je pri otvaranju korisničkog računa koji će služiti kao vlastiti zdravstveni karton. Korisnik će na svom profilu moći unijeti detaljne podatke o svom zdravstvenom stanju, simptomima, o lijekovima i pripravcima koje uzima, nuspojavama, itd… Benefiti ovakve platforme za korisnika biti će:
1. prevencija potencijalnih problema (mogućih nuspojava ili interakcija između lijekova i drugih pripravaka)
2. jednostavne i brzo dostupne informacije
3. detaljan i organiziran pregled zdravstvenog stanja u određenom trenutku
4. uvid u cjelokupnu terapiju, lijekova i pripravaka, koje trenutno uzima uz podsjetnike o terapiji i moguće rizike uzimanja određenog lijeka uz drugi lijek, vitamine, hranu, dodatke prehrani
5. bolja briga o vlastitom zdravlju
6. bolja i kvalitetnija komunikacija s liječnikom opće medicine

CheckYourMeds (CYM) is a web platform that will help the user as an informative website, but also as a health aid. The platform will contain a complete database of medicines available in the Republic of Croatia, on the basis of which it will be possible to check all the information about a particular medicine. The platform will also contain specific information on side effects and if it occurs, the user will be able
to report a side effect after consuming a particular medicine.
In addition to side effects, the user will be able to investigate interactions between medications and other preparations by comparing the medications and preparations he is currently taking. The user will have a better insight about the potential risks of taking a combination of medicines.
The platform becomes personalized for the user by creating a user account that will serve as their own health card. The user will be able to enter detailed information on his/her health condition, symptoms, medications and preparations he/she is taking, side effects, etc. The benefits of such a platform for the user will be:
1. prevention of potential problems (possible side effects or interactions between medicines and other preparations);
2. easy and quickly accessible information;
3. detailed and organized examination of the health condition at a certain point;
4. insight about the entire therapy, on the medicines and preparations the user is currently taking with reminders about the therapy and possible risks of taking a certain combination of medications, vitamins, food and dietary supplements;
5. take better care of his/her own health;
6. better communication with the user’s general practitioner.
